Scotland: Updating a Premises Licence

If you’re thinking of making changes to your premises you’ll almost certainly need to apply to have your licence updated before you do anything.

Minor alterations to the layout of the building or a change in the designated premises manager (DPM) can be dealt with via a streamlined process without the need for a full application or waiting for a licensing board hearing.

However, major changes to the layout of your building, the hours you’re open or any of the details established in your operating plan require a full application to the licensing board including 21 days public advertisement of your application.

As with applying for a new licence, we can help you with every aspect of updating your licence including appearing in front of the licensing board on your behalf.
