Martyn's Law - Home Office issue simple guidance video
2025
As previously reported the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill completed its journey through the Parliamentary process and was given Royal assent on 25th March 2025.
We are now within a planned implementation period (expected to be 2 years) in which time important documents, such as guidance to venues, and the setting up of the Regulator (who will sit within the Security Industry Authority) will be established.
This week, the Home Office has released a short video designed to educate viewers on the scope and requirements of the new Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act, known as Martyn’s Law.
This animation is intended to be easy-to-follow and help those responsible for premises and events understand the conditions of the Act and what it will involve should they fall into scope.
