Taxi and Private Hire working group.

The Government has announced that the creation of a new Taxi and Private Hire Working Group via the Department of Transport.  It is tasked to consider the adequacy and efficiency of legislation and guidance concerning the licensing of taxis and PHV’s in England.

The Group is try to identify concerns around regulation as well as looking at the Law Commissions recommendation. It is intended that the first meeting will be in September with a report being issued before the end of the year.
