Northern Ireland relaxes COVID restrictions

In welcome news for the Hospitality Industry and in line with the other parts of the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland has commenced the process of relaxing Covid restrictions.

From Midday on Friday premises which serve alcohol can drop table service and the rule of six.

In addition Ministers in Stormont have announced that from Midday on 26th January the requirement for Covid Passports in Pubs, Bars and Restaurants.

Nightclubs will be allowed to re-open following a period of Post-Christmas closure, but Covid Passports will be required for entry into Nightclubs, and partially seated events with 500 or more people in attendance.

First Minister Paul Givan described the changes as a "step in the right direction"
