New Spiking Law to be announced in King's Speech

It is being reported that the new Labour Government is set to introduce a specific criminal offence relating to Spiking.

The indication is that this will be announced in the King's Speech tomorrow as part of more than 35 Bills to be introduced.

We have reported on this issue on a number of occasions previously and it had been suggested by the previous government that this may be made a specific offence, but this did not materialise before the General Election
