Covid 19 - What you need to know - FCA Policy Checker

Following the ruling on Business Interruption Insurance by the High Court in January the FCA have created a useful Policy checker tool.

The tool, which can be found online here, is a general guide to help policy holders to check if their policy will cover business interruption losses due to the coronavirus pandemic, based on the outcome of the FCA’s test case.

The next step in the case is for the Supreme Court’s judgment to distil their original judgement into a set of declarations. It is understood draft declarations have been produced by the Court but, as may have been anticipated in such a crucial decision, the FCA and Defendant insurers are yet to agree the wording of the declarations.
