Congratulations to the Lionesses - what this means for licensing hours for the Semi-Final

Congratulations to the Lionesses for their great comeback against Sweden last night (17^th July), coming from 2-0 down and eventually winning on penalties in a nail-biting finish.

As well as meaning the team progress to the semi-finals, and hopefully the final, for Hospitality venues it means the extension to the hours for the sale of alcohol by the Government, contingent on one of the home country teams progressing to this stage, will now be effective on Tuesday 22^nd July.

We have previously reported on the detail of the extension.

This means that premises with an on licence for alcohol sales get an extension up to 1am.
