The Bank of England has launched a scheme to support businesses that accept cash and help them avoid falling into the trap of taking money with no value.

The scheme aims to

• reduce the financial loss and reputational risks caused by counterfeit banknotes
• build a relationship with the Bank of England
• support communities by preventing the spread of counterfeits and the crime associated with them.
