We have alerted on this before. See our articles 'Premier League Season... for Prosecutions!' and 'Premier League again 'targets' foreign football broadcasts'

Whereas there may be some uncertainty on the fringes as to what operators may ‘get away with', the recent reported successful prosecution of Manchester premises for unauthorised screening of Premier League matches is a reminder that Sky and the Premier League are continuing to seek to actively enforce their copyright in broadcast matches.

Indeed a spokesperson for the Premier League is reported as saying - ‘We are currently engaged in our largest ever pub and supplier investigations programme and will take action against pubs that breach our copyright by making unauthorised foreign broadcasts of Premier League football'.

If you are uncertain as to your position, specialist advice is recommended.
