Scotland - Perth & Kinross pubs get longer opening hours for the Ryder Cup

It is being reported that pubs in the Perth & Kinross Licensing Board area are to received additional trading hours for the duration of the Ryder Cup.

The Ryder Cup a team golf tournament between the USA and Europe is being held at the Gleneagles Hotel on the 23rd to 28th September 2014.

The additional terminal hours would be for the period between Monday 22 and Sunday 28 September where the terminal hour would be 12.45am instead of the current 11pm Monday to Wednesday, 12.30am Thursday to Saturday and midnight on Sunday.

It is the Board's first blanket extension which does not require an application to trade.
