Scotland - Multi-million pound developments seal record Scottish month for JG&P

Grants of two provisional licences before the Edinburgh Licensing Board this morning for a 131 bed Premier Inn and an adjacent 127 hub by Premier Inn with a total capitalised investment of over £19m (and located within the city’s ‘controversial’ Caltongate redevelopment opposite the City Council’s new offices) sealed a record month in which JG&P have licensed six new developments in Scotland across their client base representing an inward investment totalling some £31m.

These developments in total are likely to lead to the local creation of approximately 300 jobs.

The Caltongate hotels are expected to open in late 2015. An application for a further Premier Inn development in Edinburgh city centre has recently been submitted and is likely to be heard by the Board at its April hearing.
