The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is conducting a consultation into the findings of its recent Cumulative Impact Assessment.
The Licensing Act 2003 requires Licensing Authorities, such as Richmond, to review their Cumulative Impact Assessments every three years.
Richmond has carried out an analysis of the evidence base for its Cumulative Impact Areas and has concluded:
- There is sufficient evidence to retain the Richmond Town Centre Cumulative Impact Area for all licence types.
- There is sufficient evidence to retain the Twickenham Town Centre Cumulative Impact Area for all licence types.
- There is no need for further areas of the borough to be designated as Cumulative Impact Areas at this time.
The consultation on Richmond’s findings runs until 16 September 2024 and can be accessed here: https://haveyoursay.citizenspace.com/richmondecs/cip-24/
Any further queries regarding the consultation can be directed to the Richmond Licensing Team at licensing@merton.gov.uk (Richmond Licensing is a shared service with neighbouring boroughs)
