PASS - to be re-launched

The Proof of Age Standard Scheme (otherwise known as PASS) has been around for a number of years but in recent times has been subject to some criticism. Take up of the cards by young people has dropped, with 18 to 25 year olds preferring to rely upon Passports and Driving Licences. In an attempt to reinstate PASS and provide a valued form of alternative ID, PASS is to be re-launched on Tuesday 10 June 2014 at Tiger Tiger in London’s West End. There will now be one design bearing the PASS hologram rather than the current position which is five national schemes and twelve local schemes. The PASS scheme is supported by the Home Office, ACPO and Trading Standards Institute.
