The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) has launched a new Women’s Night Safety Charter (the Charter).WMCA is made up of 18 local councils and 1 local enterprise partnership (LEPs).

The Charter is an initiative to improve the safety of all women in the night-time economy, whether that is as staff or as customers.

More than 50 businesses have already signed up to the Charter and further businesses are being encouraged to sign up to help improve women’s safety.

The Charter follows the establishment of the Mayor of London’s Women’s Night Safety Charter in London, which has been signed by over 2,100 businesses since it launched.
