Government Consult on Lotteries

The Government has commenced an open consultation described as “A call for evidence exploring the current balance across society lotteries , The National Lottery and competing gambling products in raising funds for good causes and maintaining player protection.”

This is said to arise out of the fact it is now 10 years since the Gambling Act 2005, and that there have been rapid developments in the area of lotteries and commercial gambling.
