Gambling - New Regulations Relating to B2 Gaming Machine Charges
2015
Regulations have been laid before Parliament on 4th February in relation to limiting the amounts individuals can pay to use B2 gaming machines other than where the machine is located in a casino. The regulations are scheduled to come into force on 6th April.
The Regulations amend the Gaming Machine (Circumstances of Use) Regulations 2007 (S.I. 2007/2319) so as to prevent individuals from paying more than £50 for a charge for use of a sub-Category B2 gaming machine (other than where the machine is located in a casino) unless each payment made by that individual in respect of the use of the machine complies with specific conditions.
The three conditions relate to the identification of an individual making payment, supervision of an individual making payments, and application by an individual of winnings arising from payments (or from winnings arising from payments) which satisfied those conditions.
