Early Warning - ACPO - Week of Action - Alcohol Licensing & Harm Reduction; 16-22 September 2013

Operators may like to be alert to the fact that there is what we believe to be a national week of action, promoted by ACPO, which will be operational during the period 16-22 September 2013.

It will be down to local police forces to determine how they propose to implement or action this, but the expectation must be that this will be a period of marked increased enforcement activity.

Be aware – and be prepared.

(Our local force is on record as indicating that this will in part include some voluntary test purchase operations for any venues that are interested in taking part and some free training available for staff in relation to serving to the under aged and serving to drunks; however there will be other unannounced initiatives taking place.)
