Covid 19 - What you need to know - Wales announces extra financial support for hospitality industry

The Welsh Government has announced further financial support of £30 million for certain businesses. The focus of this latest funding is small, medium and large businesses in the hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors as well as related supply chain businesses. The funding will be targeted at businesses employing 10+ staff. However, provision for a further £150 million support for businesses paying non-domestic rates will be made available should restrictions be extended at the next coronavirus review on 12 March 2021. This will include an additional payment of up to £5,000 and does not require a minimum number of employees.

An eligibility checker will be available on the Business Wales website to assist businesses in determining to what they might be entitled.
