British Summer Time (and Easter) - be aware and be prepared!

British Summer Time (BST) (or more properly Daylight Saving Time) starts at 1.00am Sunday 26 March 2017 when 1.00am immediately becomes 2.00am.

If you are proposing and are able to trade beyond 1.00am, you need to be aware and have hopefully the position covered off either in your premises licence or have given a Temporary Event Notice in respect of the same.

For a full notice TEN, 10 working days' notice is required - so for any extension the TEN needs to be submitted - if it has not already - and be received by the Council by 10 March (for a 'Late TEN', if you can get away with it, this is 17 March 2017).

BST/DST will this year end on Sunday, 29 October 2017 at 2.00am when the clocks will move back one hour.

Also a reminder that Easter falls over the weekend of 15/16 April; an early reminder to give a TEN for any extended trading which may be required over that weekend.
