Alcohol Wholesale Registration Scheme Update

Further to previous news that the Alcohol Wholesale Registration Scheme (AWRS) has been confirmed with an introduction date of 1^st October 2015 we can advise that HMRC has published a briefing pack for businesses.  All businesses wholesaling duty paid alcohol will need to register with HMRC between October and December 2015. Thereafter HMRC will decide whether or not to formally add each business to the register. Preparation for registration should be undertaken as soon as possible.
