A Bridge to far? Yes!

Earlier this year, we reported that the English Bridge Union was permitted to bring a judicial review of Sport England’s ruling that ‘physical activity’ is necessary for an activity to be recognised as a sport, which effectively meant it would not classify Bridge as a sport.

Yesterday, Mr Justice Dove found in favour of Sport England and refused permission to appeal - a disappointing (yet not wholly surprising) decision for the English Bridge Union.
